Homework

Homework is very important because it provides extra practice with skills we're learning in class. Please remember sight words & spelling words are tested every Friday. Your child will learn these words best if you practice them for a few minutes every night rather than waiting until Thursday night! :)

August-September Homework

• Complete activity for the day from monthly Homework Calendar. (extra calendars can be found at <>
• Practice spelling words
• Practice sight words
• Read library book & note any books being read at home (so we can give AR tests on the books!)

October-December Homework

(No monthly Homework Calendar)

• Help your child write 1 sentence every night using a spelling word in "word study book."
  
• Practice spelling words
•  Practice sight words
• Read library book & note any books being read at home.

January-May Homework

• Complete activity for the day from monthly Homework Calendar. 
• Help your child write 2 sentences in "word study book." One sentence with spelling word; one sentence with sight word.
• Read library book & note any books being read at home.
